Kate Hudson Makes a Plunging Arrival to “Late Night”
Gossip Date: 23-07-2014

She’s been all over town as of late for “Wish I Was Here” promotions and Kate Hudson's latest stop was “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Tuesday (July 22).

The “Bride Wars” beauty donned a plunging neckline that showed off her rocking bod as she sat down to chat with the host about her mother Goldie Hawn's iconic film career.

"I come from a family of storytellers. It takes a lot—three months, four months—out of their life. It's kind of a fun thing to see the outcome of what your parents have been working on so hard and what you would hear them talking about,” Kate said. “And now I can see that in my children. I can see that in Ryder on set, checking it out. He starts to really understand the process. It's cool. It's a cool thing."

Seth questioned if Kate would ever portray one of her mother’s roles in a big screen remake and the blonde beauty said she probably wouldn’t.

In 2012, Jason Reitman brought a group of stars together for a live-reading Goldie and Warren Beatty’s 1975 sex satire “Shampoo.” Bradley Cooper read Beatty’s part and Olivia Wild took over Julie Christie’s role. Kate read her mom’s part, but that’s as far as she’ll go.

"It was really, really fun. What was fun about that, actually, was that Warren was in the audience. But I'm playing my mom's character. It was kind of crazy. It was kind of why you don't touch those things, you know? That was fun. That was actually really celebratory. But I don't think I would ever want to do something like that because my mom plays such iconic roles that I couldn't really see anybody for that matter being able to embody or encompass what it is that she is."

Seth Meyers laughed back, “If you can’t pull of a Goldie Hawn role, everyone should stay away from it.”
