Chris Brown’s Declining Demand
Gossip Date: 19-11-2009

He used to be one of the hottest tickets in town, but according to ticket scalpers, Chris Brown is losing his appeal with concert goers.

The “Kiss Kiss” hitmaker played a gig at the Avalon in Hollywood last night, and the show’s sold out status had more to do with the small venue size than with demand for tickets.

Danny McElroy, who bought extra tickets to the concert in hopes of selling some of them off for profit, told press he had trouble unloading the seats on the morning of the event.

“It seems he lost a lot more fans than I expected.  The Avalon is small and I expected it to sell out the first day, but it didn’t. I’m not much of a fan, but I bought these tickets for my girlfriend.  I’ve had trouble selling (them). I’m just trying to get back what I paid for them.”

Another scalper explained, “If I had Chris Brown tickets last year, I was going to be able to sell them for a lot. This time I had more ads up on Craigslist, and I never even got a single call. People weren’t willing to pay more like they did for Jay-Z.  Personally, I think the situation makes you think differently of (Brown) and his singing. I can’t even listen to him sing.  It only takes one thing for people to look at you different.”
